Abstract
Four bandied and eighteen Farmers of Menofia Governorate with age ranged between 35-85 years, passed history, clinical examination and resting ECG. Blood sample were taken after 12-14 hours fasting and examined for:
- Fasting blood sugar.
- Fasting Total choleslerol.
- Fasting Triglycerides
-LDL
-IIDL
- Serum uric acid.
• The aim of this work was studying the pattern of lipid lipogram
farmers of Menofia Governorats.
• Mean age was 50.1 years.
• Mean Serum cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides were 163 mg/dl, 93 nig/dI, 47.7 mg/dl and 145 mgldl respectivly.
• Preva lance of hypercholeslerolem ia, Triglyceredeniia and low HDL were I 0%, 2 7.6% and 35% respectivly.
• In (liabetics T—C , TG, LDL serum levels were higher than non diabetics, while diabetic 1-JDL serum level was less than non
diabetics.
• In hypertensive patients rr_c , ‘l’G , LDL serum levels were higher than normotensive persons , while 1-IDL-C were less in hypertensive
at ients.
• FIDL-C in smokers were less than non smokers, while TC,TG, LDL were same in both.
• Lipid profile increase with age but it is not significant.
• The results of this study show that the farmers had good and desirable lipid lipogram in comprable with other Egyptian classes and Foreigner populations. They have less serum cholesterol less LDL, high I IDL and similar TG.
