Abstract 1- The efficiency of triflumuron and chlorfluazuron was evaluated aganist the second instar larvae of the Egyptian cotton leaf worm S. littoralis. The relative potency levels of the two tested insect growth inhibitors (IGIS) show that chlorfluazuron was more effective than triflumuron either at 5 days LC50 or at 5 days LC90 levels. Considering the potency levels of the two tested IGIS expressed as the number of fold, chlorfluazuron was 51.1 and 271.85 times more toxic than triflumuron at 5 days LC50 and LC90 respectively. 2-The study of the effect of sublethal concentrations of the two IGIS on some biometric aspects of S. littoralis by using life table analysis showed that :- a- The effect on larval , pupal and adult survivorship indicated that the survivorship percentages on larvae were 33.3 and 50 (at LC25) and (LC10) |
