Abstract
In this study we have included 60 patients with advanced GIT cancer and proved have peritoneal dissemination .These 60 patients were divided into two group ,each one contained 30 patients .In the first group of patients we have treated them by the technique of intraperitoneal chemohyperthermic perfusion ( IPCH ) after they have received their appropriate surgical procedures .The second group of patients ,we have treated them traditionally using the appropriate surgical procedures followed by radiotherapy and /or systemic chemotherapy.We have followed the effects of both types of treatment for a period of 2 years .We have used Mitomycin C,as the chemotherapeutic agent to be added to the hyperthermic peritoneal perfusate in the first group of patients .We aimed in this study to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of the technique of IPCH as one of the multimodel therapy for patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis due to digestive cancers and also to evaluate the morbidity and mortality in patients receiving this type of treatment .
