Abstract
The purpose of this work is to identify the enivronments,to determine the environmental problems,to evalute the existing practices and past successes and failures in coastal policymaking.Furthermore, it is expected that mechanisms for using science in coastal policymaking identified in the regions could be transferred to other regions and used nationally and that comparisons among regions wuld yield additional insights.
