Abstract This work has been carried out to show the following: in the present work detailed study of the possible use of some organic solutions for gamma radiation measurements. Rhodamine B (RHB) and Cresol Red (CR) Aqueous solutions of some organic dyes have been prepared with different concentrations and have been investigated as dosimeters to gamma radiation measurements. The solutions were readout spectrophotometrically and spectroflourmetrically using absorption and emission spectrophotometers. Concluding the maximum useful dose range for each dye. Radiation chemical yield- G-value –and Fluorescence quantum yield,?, were calculated for the different dyes studied. pH effect and the effect of different additives were also investigated. Post irradiation stability was studied under different storage conditions |
