Abstract
the products 160 and 161 were deblocked with methanolic ammonia at room temperature to give the 3-(2-hydroxy) and 4-(2-hydroxyethoxy) substituted pyridothienopyrimidines 162 and 163, respectively .Compound 162 was tosylateu by reaction with reaction with tosyl chloride in dry pyridinc to give the tosylatc 164 .The tosylate 164 was treated with sodium azide in dry dimethyl formamidc to afford the corresponding d/ulo derivatives 165 in a good yield.
