Abstract This study was carried out in the Alexandria University Hospitals on 30 paediatric patients undergoing lower abdominal or genitotirinary operations. The patients were grouped into 2 groups: each group included 15 patients: Group I: They received a miture of both ketamine, 0.5 mg/kg + upivacaine 2mg/kg in a dose of 1 mI/kg. Group II: They received a mixture of both midazolam 5Ojtg/kg + T3upivacaine 2mg/kg in the same volume of 1 mI/kg. The aim of this work was to compare the effects of caudal administration of mixture of both Icetamine and bupivacaine and a mixture of both bupivacaine and midazolam in paediatric surgery. Method F’re operative examination: Evaluation of the patients was carried out through proper history taking, thorough clinical examination and laboratory investigations. |
