Abstract Specific Language Impairment is associated with impairments in shortterm memory. A hallmark of Specific Language Impairment is that affected children have severe deficits in one measure associated with short term memory that exceed even the language impairments .Thirty normal language development children between 4-7 years old and thirty children with specific language impairment have been examined. Short term memory evaluation is done to each child through short term memory subtest of Stanford binet test version four. The result of the evaluation of short term memory suggests that there is a high incidence of verbal (auditory) short term memory affection in children with specific language impairment. |
