Agricultural modernfiation is considered as one of the most important fundamentals, which a g r i c u l t u r a l ext ens2on re~uiredf o r rural de~el~pi~~laceen.?t, l e a d e r s I;;;:; ?lay a v i t a l role through the diffusion of innovations especially in the developie countries. Although the great e f f o r t s , of extension work i n order to get b e t t e r qudity of products, there is a great need for nore researches about a g r i c u l t u r a l modernization. This study aims t o know the a g r i c u l t u r a l modernization level among l o c a l leaders, discovering the .factors which related to t h e a g r i c u l t u r a l nodernization l e v e l , and the f a c t o r s t h a t explain the variance i n a g r i c u l t u r a l modernizstion l e v e l . Data were collected from 167 l o c a l leaders whom selected by purpoively, i n a l l villages at Sl-Hamoul D i s t r i c t , Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. A questionnaire was used t o c o l l e c t data needed f o r aci-eivind the aixs of t h i s research through personal interviews. Presentation, c o r r e l a t i o n and regression analyses were used to describe the a g r i c u l t u r a l ,nodernization level also t o t e s t t h e r e l a t i o n s h i p s
