Abstract The design of electric wave filters with narrow relative band-width is asubject of considerable electrical engineering interest.the classical methods of design with ordinary coils fails to offer characteristic with high attenuation steepness. In the present thesis, a method for designing narrow band-pass filters using novel types of filters is described. The main feature of these types is the possibility of getting reliable very narrow band-pass filters meeting any design requirements, by using bridged - T structure, characterisied by reduction in number of elements together with the possiblity of rendering dissipation effects to within to lerable limits. The present thesis comprises five chapters. Chapter I, is a review of the previous work. Starting with Zobel’s method of design - which is mainly based on ladder networks - sections with any prescribed characteristic can be constructed. However, this method lacks the flexibility in designing filters meeting predetemined requirements as regard to the final insertion loss with minimum num ber of elements. |
