Abstract

Inability to conceive is one of the most common complains in gynecological practice, and a percentage of these cases will eventually seek assisted conception (mainly cases of male factor, tubal factor and unexplained infertility).
Ultrasound is a main tool in assisted conception. Currently relies on the use of two-dimensional transvaginal ultrasound, which proved to be better than two-dimensional transabdominal Ultrasound, in monitoring of follicular growth, endometrial growth, ovum pick-up, and embryo transfer.
Three-dimensional ultrasound is a revolution in diagnostic imaging whether or not three-dimensional ultrasound will add new information in monitoring of follicular growth, endometrial growth, measurement of uterine blood flow and endometrial blood flow and whether or not any of this information will help to predict pregnancy is subject of this thesis.
In this study we selected 100 infertile patients from the outpatient clinic of Kasr EL Aini hospital with the following criteria: between the age of 20 -35 years old, complaining of primary infertility for more than two years, male factor is excluded by recent semen analysis (within the last two years) and according to WHO strict criteria 1992, coital causes of infertility are excluded through sexual history, the patients of the study have normal hormonal profile.
