Abstract
The present investigation was carried out at the Apiary of Agricultural Faculty Tanta, University, Kafr El-Sheikh, during the successive years of 1991 to 1995 using first hybrid Carniolian x Egyptian 20 colonies) aiming to study the following. 1- Population dynamics of Varroa jacobsoni Oud. The following parameters were determined every week: Percentage of infestation on adult workers-drone-worker brood, drone brood. 2- Effect of infestation with Varroa mite on morphometric measurement of adult worker. The following parameters were done. A- Length of proboscis mm. B- Length and width of fore wing rnrn. C- Length and width of hind wing mm. D- Length and width of hind basitarsus of the right leg mm. E- Length and width of tergites number 3,4 and 5 mm. F- Length and width of wax mirror number 3,4, and 5 rnm.
