Abstract

The whitefly Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) (Aleyrodidae: Homoptera) has increasingly become a serious pest of horticultural and agronomic crops; throughout warm regions of the world (Brown etui., 1995); and it’s a key post throughout the world, in tropical and subtropical regions (Hilje, 2001). In addition to cause mechanical damage, B. tabaci has been associated with several new plant disorders, and dozens of new Geminiviruses (Polston and Anderson, 1997). Tomato yellow leaf curl virus is a common destructive disease and the most limiting tomato production in summer and autumn in warm areas in Egypt and other countries in the world (Gabr, 1991). Tomato represents especially an important vegetable crop in Egypt. It is usually planted with other vegetable and field crops.
