Abstract
The recent detrital sediments at the entrance of fifteen major valleys debouching in the red sea were studied from the textural, mineralogical and geochimical points of view. thse valleys are wadi el dakhel, wadi , wadi mubarak, wadi duber, wadi quieh, wadi umm ghaig, hawashya, wadi abu had, wadi abu marawa, wadi el alam, wadi el gemal, wadi lahmi, wadi khuda and wadi rhaba.
