Abstract
Urinary tract infection is defined as the presence of actively multiplying organisms within the urinay tract. This study was carreid out to estimate the levels of urinary and serum IL-6 in patients with UTI either in lower or upper forms. 40 cases (7 males and 33 females ) were clinically and laboratory investigated for symptoms and signs of UTI. 10 cases of apparently healthy persons have been taken also as controls.
