Abstract
Homocystine is a demethylated derivative of the essential amino
acid methionine.it is either irreversibly trans-s ulphurated via
cystathionine into cysteine, in which the first reaction is catalysed by a
pyridoxal-c- phosphate ( PLP.a coenzyme of vitB6J dependent enzyme
lcystathionine 8- synthase] or it i rem thylan d to III rhonine by either
