Abstract Multiple sclerosis is one of the most common disabling neurologic disease with prevalence varies widely in different geographic locations from less than 1/100,000 to more than 100/100,000. this variation appears to be due to environmental and genetic factors (Ebers et al, 1997 -Pryse, et al, 2001).Multiple sclerosis occurs more commonly in individuals of Western Europe and distinctly uncommon in certain ethenic and racial groups such as, Eskimo, Native American Indian, Africans ( Minderhoud et al, 1988 ).Mean age of onset is about 30 years and the peak age of onset is 23-24 years ( Paty et al, 1997). |
