Abstract
The present work as carried out in Fish Research laboratoq . Kafr Elsheikh, Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta university to study the effect of different kinds and levels of carbohydrate on growth performance, carcass chemical composition and efficiency of feed and protein utilization of Nile Tilapia fingerlings. The experimental system consisted of (18) glass aquaria (80 x 32 x 40 *cm) with about (80 liters) of water in each. All aquaria were supplied with compressed air through air compressor (100 liters). One third of the total water volume in each aquarium was . replaced by fresh tap water after cleaning and removing the accumulated excreta. Water temperature was controlled .thermostatically at 25 + 1 c by electric heaters.
