Abstract
Leprosy is a chronic granulomatous disease caused by M. leprae, principally affecting peripheral nerves and skin. There was no years, molecular techniques for viability estimation of M. Leprae have been developed that are based on a quantitative estimation of RNA levels by isothermal reactions, direct hybridization with specific probes, or by amplification by PCR.
