Abstract
Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic autoimmune disease characterized by chronic joint inflammation with infiltration of macrophages and activated ’ T cells. Cellular adhesion and differentiation molecules %. ’(1CAMS)may play a role in the recruitment and retention of inflammatory cells into rheumatoid arthritis. ICAM-1 is more broadly distributed than molecules in RA, being found on endothelium, fibroblasts and some lymphocytes.
