Abstract The regeneration is the process that occurs when organ is exposed to amputation or an extreme injury according to definition regeneration is the replacement of the lost parts the loss of some part of the body would be the adequate stimulus to setores the normal stucture of the animal the aim of this work is to study morphologically and histollogically the regeneration process of the ventral and pelvic fins of the teleost species oreochromis aureus (blue tilapia)also the studies are extended to investigate histochemically the alterations of the content of glycogen and proteins in the various tissues of the regenerating fins as well as in the systemicorgans represented by the liver and muscles during the regeneration process. |
