Abstract

Trace elements concentrations are tightly controlled in healthy individuals. Impairment of cellular functions could be due to decreased activity of enzymes that require trace elements for optimal activity. The importance of trace elements is of greater magnitude than their concentration as in vivo many suggest. Trace elements are found in mg/dl concentrations, whereas ultra trace elements concentrations’ are ug/dl or less, while some of these elements are toxic still they are essential to biological functions In optimal concentration. Anaemia is defined as reduction of the red blood cell count or hemoglobin concentration below the normal range of healthy persons. Aneamia at age group (seven to twelve years), is considered to be present at a hemoglobin level of less than 11 g/ dl.
