Abstract A wide spread practice included in man’s destructive activities is the introduction of ”exotic” animals into many areas of the world. Included in these transafers are various species of freshwater crayfish, (Decapoda/Malacostraca/crustacea). There are over 400 species of freshwater crayfish included within the families Astacidae, Cambardae, and Parastacidae( Huner & lindqvist, 1995). The most significant species known as the red swamp crayfish is procambarus clarkii. |
