Abstract
The chlorinated hydrocarbons are volatile chemicals that are widely encountered in industrial and commercial products. Outside of limited use, as topical anesthetics or ”freezing” agents, their medical applications are of primarity historic interest. They have the advantage over the corresponding unsubstantiated hydrocarbons of often being better solvents in industry due both to their less flammable excellent solvent properties and economy. These agents are also available in commercial products for home use as solvents in adhesive removers, waterprofers, and degreasers .
