Abstract Nitroxynil , Finasteride , Tetrazepam and Glibenclamide are pharmaceutical compounds of great biological importance. In this thesis, it is aimed to study the electrochemical behavior of these compounds in the Britton-Robinson buffer solution of ditTerent pH values at the mercury electrodes (Dropping mercury and hanging mercury DROP electrodes) using ~everal electrochemical techniques . It is aimed also to optimize the experimental and instrumental conditions for the trace quantitative determination of these drugs in their bulk forms, pharmaceutical formulation and in spiked serum samples using linear- sweep, differential-pulse, and square- wave adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammerty. The thesis comprises offour chapters. Chapter (I): It ’present a general introduction of the principles of different voltammetric techniques used in the-present study, namely: DCCpolarography, differential-pulse voltammetry, square-wave voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry and stripping voltammetry. Chapter (II): It contains the experimental part. It describes the , materials, preparation of various solutions used in the present study. This chapter contains c;dso description of the instrumentation used in the present work and procedure of measurements. |
