Abstract A study of the unsaponifiable matter in vegetable oil. The aim is to study the unsaponifibale matter in some edible oils in an attempt to identify some of the sterol constituents of the mixture known as the unsaponifiable. The materials are samples of crude cotton seed oil and after industrial treatments are examined to find the loss in unsaponifiables with special reference to their sterols content. |
