Abstract
The present work aims at the serological and biological diagnosis of tobacco mosaic virus and potato virus x. Thus, it aims at manifesting the difference between the virus infected and healthy plants in view of the external symptoms, serological tests, chemical analysis and the given yield. Trials are carried out to prepare antisera with high liter and specificity for serodiagnosis. Total and soluble nitrogen contents are determined in upper and middle leaves of healthy and infected TMV tomato plants taken 1. 2. 3 and 4 weeks after being inoculated with soluble nitrogen contents as well as the calculation of protein contents are also determined in upper, middle and lower leaves of healthy and infected PVX potato plants.
