المستخلص This Work Is Aiming To Study The Effect Of Exchangeable Mg On Some Chemical And Physical Characteristics Of The Mg-Affected Soils And Also To Study The Role Of Magnesium In Clay Minerals Transformation. Ninety Profiles Are Chosen In The Northern Parts Of East, West And Middle Of The Nile Delta. Chemical Analyses Of Soil Paste Extracts Of The 90 Profiles Are Carried Out To Identify The Magnesium Affected Soils. From The 90 Profiles, 12 Are Selected To Represent The Mg-Affected Soils In Egypt. Another Profile Is Chosen To Represent The Typical Alluvial Soils Which Are Not Affected By Magnesium. Chemical Analyses Included The Determination Of Ph Values, Carbonates And Bicarbonates, Chloride, Sulphate, Calcium And Magnesium, Sodium And Potassium In The Soil Paste. Physical Analyses Included Mechanical Analysis, Aggregate Analysis And Hydraulic Conductivity. Segregation Of The Clay Constitutes The Mineralogical Analysis Of Soil Samples. Results Obtained And Discussion Are Given Clearly. |
