Abstract conventional angiography. It is a new method for the volumetric display of the contrast filled vessels and reconstructs angiograms from the axial images of the spiral CT examination to form 2D and 3D reformatted images. This is done such that all information about the aortic abnormality is available for the surgeon in all imaging planes to decide the line of treatment. In addition, these images mimic the perspective seen by the surgeon, who is oriented to a traditional coronal or sagittal visualization of the aorta. |
