Abstract

Having the coordinates of certain points are known with respect to two different and defined system, The relation between thses two systems can be found by using different transformation models. In Egypt several observations were made using Doppler and GPS techniques. Accordingly the main objects of this thesis are :
1-To discuss a new method for transformation called multiple regression equations by using the geodetic coordinates or rectangular coordinates in Egypt by using the available data and find the transformation equations between doppler and geodetic coordinates, GPS and geodetic coordinates and doppler and GPS.
2- Discuss the accuracy, the distribution, number of points between the proposed method and the traditional transformation models by using real data, fictitious data.
Literature review : The value of the transformation parameters were found by El-Hoseny M. S. 1979, Using eight doppler stations, after that a recent observations were carried out. Then the values of the transformation parameters were found by shaban M. A. 1988, by using nineteen doppler stations.
Objectives and scope of the study:
The main objective of this study is to find a more acuurate and a menable method of transformation by using recent a comparative of GPS and old observations of Doppler. Also a comparative study between the proposed method and the traditional transformation models.
Also to study the factors which affect on the transformation parameters such as distributions, accuracy and number of redendency.
Approach methodology : Satellite positiong techniques play an important role in strengthening and extension of the existing control networks as well as in the establishment of a new control networks. Then by using the doppler coordinates and GPS coordinates we transfer to terrestrial coordinates and vice-versa, if the parameters were known. If the coordinates are well known then we can find out the value of paremeters with sufficient accuracies, or the transformation equations.
