Abstract
This investigation is planned to study the effect of gamma irradiation on dry rot of potato tubers, the possibility to overcome the bad effect of gamma irradiation on natural resistance of potato tuber tissue by some chemical and physical treatments. The physiological changes in irradiated and inoculated potato turber tissues are investigated. Pathogenicity tests are carried out on potato tubers (Alpha variety ). Spore suspensions of the most frequently isolated fungus are prepared by removing the condia from the fungal growth, 7 days old at 25c on PDA medium in sterilized distilled water.
