Abstract This study includes plant parasitic nematodes associated with potatoes. Studies are therefore conducted on pathogenesis of southern root-knot nematodes, meloidogine incognita, reniform nematode, ratylenchulus reniformis and meadow nematode, pratylenchus through their inoculation on cultivar alpha a. The study deals with the comparative development of m.incognita on temik treated and non-treated potato. The results obtained reveal that all plant characters viz. Total plant weight, shoot length shoot, root and tubers weight are profoundly affected as to the nematode free controls. The nematocidal activity and host crop response under field conditions are studied. |
