Abstract
The present work aims to: 1) differentiate between PVY and PVA present in the Egyptian fields. 2) study the effect of the two most predominant PVY strains VIZ. Tobacco veinal necrosis and tobacco vein-bonding on the soluble contents of potato and tobacco hosts. 3) conduct some comparative biochemical colour tests to detect the infected potato tubers.
