Abstract
The present work is carried out to study the effect of gamma ray, EA and Des, and the combination between them, on some of M, growth and yield characters and frequency and spectrum of mutations induced in M2 and M3. These studies are carried out on two varieties of vicia faba, namely Giza 1 and Giza 2. Air dried seeds of each of the two varieties are garmma irradiated with doses of 0.00, 3, 9 and 12 kr, 02 treated with EA in concentrations of 0.05, 0.15, 0.25, and 0.5%, 02 DEs of 0.015, 0.020, 0.025 and 0,030 M solutions. For combined treatment of radiation and chemicalsm, some seeds of each variety are treated by 6 kr. of gamma rays followed by DEs 0.02 or 0.025 more with gamma rays of 9 kr. Followed by EA 0.25 or 0.5%.
