Abstract
The present work aims to: 1) study the effect of seven recommended fungicides on the rate and amount of growth of the fungus on media and percentage of infection. 2) study the ability of the pathogen to decompose pectin, cellulose starch and gelatin. The results obtained reveal that the percentage of infection increases in the wounded leaves more than those without wounding. Furthermore, the fungus gives its maximum linear growth on czapek’s agar.
