Abstract This investigation aims to study phisiological and biological factors governing the outbreak of root-rot disease of soybean. Soybean plants showing clear symptoms of the disease are collected and the pathogen are isolated and their pathogenicity is determined. The susceptibility of different soybean varieties to the disease is also studied. The effect of organic manuring on controlling the disease is studied and trials are made to correlate these results with rhizospheric microflora. The effect of mineral fertilizers N, P and K either alone or in combinations on disease severity is also investigated. Results obtained reveal that RHI. Solani kuhn, SCL, Rolfsii, Rhizoctonia spp., RHI. Bataticala and fus. Spp. Are isolated from diseased root of soybean showing disease symptoms from different sources. |
