Abstract The present study deals with all possible combinations of the first cross between 3 studied breeds, as well as with the back crosses. The results obtained show that the fixed factors affecting the traits studied i.e. breed group, year of birth, age of dam, sex and type of birth are found to have highly significant effects on all traits except the effect of type of birth on lamb viability and yearling fleece weight where it is insignificant. Birth weight shows highly significant effect on lamb viability. |
