Abstract
This work is planned with the aim of applying and evaluating the sterileinsect techinique as regards two of the major cotton pests; spodoptera littoralis and pectinophora cossypiella. The mating competitiveness of the cotton leafworm, the effect of gamma radiation on the reproduction and mating competitiveness of moth pink bollworm, the mating and dispersal of its labelled males and the effect of irradiated and chemosterilized moths in suppressing native popualtions in field cages are studied and discussed.
