Abstract This study was carried out on fifteen patients aging from 35 to 45 years old selected from the outpatient clinic of the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University. The cases were selected with unilateral or bilateral free end saddle to receive fixed partial dentures. The cases were systemically healthy, with sufficient width and height of bone to receive implants. Healthy mandibular second premolar was a must to serve as abutment for the fixed partial dentures used in this study. IMZ dental implant system was used to represent the mandibular second molar and served together with the mandibular second premolar as abutments for fixed partial dentures resorting the mandibular first molar. The patients were divided into three groups as following: group 1: the patients in this group received three units fixed partial dentures with IMZ implant system n(rigid connector) to replace the mandibular second molar to be used with the mandibular second premolar tooth as fixed partial denture abutments to restore the mandibular first molar.
