Abstract
Our hand is a marvelous tool that has a great role in our life. It is considered as a special end organ of the brain. They are coordinated with each other to receive and deal with the information from our environment.
The hand has many functions from prehensile tasks, sensations, high speed delicate movements, powerful grip and even an organ for expression.
Each of our digits has its great importance; with the greatest important one (the thumb), which equals 40 - 50 % of the total hand function, and its special motion (opposition) is characteristic fir human hands making it different from apes ones.
However the great importance of this tool, it I subjected to many injuries (domestic, industrial …etc) that may affect one or more of the hand component tissue, hand function and consequently our lives.
