Abstract

Therombicytopenia is a major hematologic disorder commonly observed in patient with chronic liver diseases induced by variable etiologies , to date, its underlying mechanisms remains controversial. The aim of the present study was to assess of Megakaryocytopoiesis in thrombicytopenic HCV chronically infected patients, assessment o fthrombopoietin (TPO) level, and cytological assessment of quantitative ,Qualitative respects of the bon- marrow. Transmission of Electron microscope to study the ultrastructure. Thirty three Therombicytopenic patient with chronic hepatitis C viral infectionattending the hepathology outpatient clinic , .Suez Canal University hospital were included: in a addition to twenty hematologically complete healthy HCV seronegative individuals included as healthy controls .
All included individuals were subjected to complete medical history, clinical examination ,biochemical and hematological assessment,in addition to,assessment of hepatitis markers . theromatological( TPO) level , Quantitative and Qualitative aspects of the bone marrow ,assessment of Megakaryocytopoiesis using electron microscope to study the ultrastructures .
Results of the present study showed that patient in the study group showed evident Therombicytopenia normocytic normochronic anemia , hepatosplenomegaly in 61% of cases biochemical assessment showed marked important of the liver function
Serum thrmobopoietin( IPO) level showed highly statistically significant eelevation in thrombocytopenic HCV chronically infected.
