Abstract

This study is done to evaluate the value of clinical parameters as maternal age, parity, body mass index, height, gestational age, Bishop score, and ultrasound parameters obtained by transabdominal probe as ultrasonic amniotic fluid index, fetal head position, estimated fetal weight, and transvaginal ultrasound parameters as cervical length and posterior cervical angle before induction of labor in predicting delivery by cesarean section.

This study is a prospective descriptive study included 200 pregnant women underging induction of labor due to postterm pregnancy, fulfilling all inclusion and exclusion criteria, recruited from outpatient clinic at Ain Shams University Maternity Hospital.
