Abstract
the present investigation includes the studies of genetics behaviour of certain characters in one local variety ”giza 3 ” and two introduced varieties ” guatemal 4” and ”cuba 2032” of enaf , two qualitative characters were studies in the cross ”cuba 2032” x ” Cuatemala 4 ” and its reciprocal , while fifteen characters were studies in the criginal cross ” Giza 3 ” x ” Cuatemala 4 ” and its reciprocal,
The local variety ” Giza 3 ” had deep lobed standerd leaf, dark red stem. This variety had averages : 146.71 days , 358.57 cm. , 221.45 cm. 31.02 mm. 448.75 gm. For no of days to first flower , plant height , first capsule height on the main stem diameter , plant fresh weight , seed weight , number of capsules per plant number of seeds per capsule , percentage of cellulose , plant fiber weight , fiber fineness, fiber strength and fiber elongation , respectively.
