Abstract

Preparation of polymer composites leads to a tremendous amount of properties that different
From the parent polymer and gives the ability to use the new formed composites in several ways.
The present work investigates the effect of filler, such as slag wool, modifications on the mechanical as well as other physical properties of the prepared composites.
filler modification was carried out by adsorption of satiric acid, met acrylic acid and polymethacrylic acid as surface active agents onto slag wool surface. Mechanical, thermal and electrical properties of the prepared polyvinyl chloride (PVC) slag wool and polystyrene (PS)
slag wool composites were measured.
The kinetics of solution polymerization of met acrylic acid (MAA) using different
development redox per initiation system, such as potassium persulphate (KPS) with acetone
sodium bisulphate (ASBS) KPS with benzaldeehyed sodium bisulphate (BSBS) and KPS with sodium bisulphate (SBS) as well as ammeter contraptions of MAA that at different temperatures. The rate of solution polymerization and maximum conversion were found to change with initiator monomer concentration, and temperature variation.
The rate of solution polymerization in case of initiation system containing aromatic sodium bisulphate as reducing agent was found to be higher than in case of both SBS and aliphatic sodium bisulphate adducts (ASBS).
The results revealed that the rate of solution polymerization was found to be dependent on the initiator concentration.
