Abstract Alveolar bone resorption is a common finding after te extraction, It creates an aesthetic and retentive problems for t fabrication of the conventional prosthesis, or it can make the placement endosseous implant difficult or even impossible1. Several materials were tried to augment resorbed ridges to sol this problem. The aim of our study was to evaluate the effectiveness of bioacti glass as a bone graft material for ridge preservation. This study were composed of twelve patients were selected fr from any relevant diseases may affect the study or contra-indicated I surgical intervention, the patients were totally maxillary edentulot and indicated for clearance of lower anterior teeth, for construction complete denture. These patients divided into two groups each six patients as stu and control groups. Preoperative panoramic X-rays and upper and lower impressio were taken to all patients. In both groups the patients were locally anaesethised, atrauma extraction of lower anterior teeth were done, envelop flaps w performed, interseptal bone was removed, followed by green sti fracture to the labial plate of bone and tilted lingually, sharp edges w trimmed, for the control group closure of the wound was done by 3-0 s continuous suture. In study group blood samples were taken from study group patient, mix with bioactive glass in dappen dish, introduction of the prepared mater is performed between labial and lingual plate of bone, closure of t wound were done by using 3-0 silk continuous suture. |
