Abstract
Petri Nets (PN’S) were developed to define the coordination of asynchronous events.They are graphical and mathematical modeling tools applicable to many system . Many factors contributed to their success,the graphical nature , the ability to model parallel and distributed processes in a natural manner, the simplicity of the model and the firm mathematical fondation.
