Abstract
The present investigation was conducted at the Experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Minia University, during two successive seasons, 1995 and 1996 to study the evaluation of some maize varieties under different levels of soil and foliar nitrogen fertilization. In both seasons, the experiment included 30 treatments which were the combinations of three varieties i.e. (single cross 9, three way cross 310, Giza 2), two levels of foliar nitrogen fertilizer i.e. (control, foliar spray 2% urea)and five levels of soil nitrogen fertilizer i.e. (control, 40, 80, 120 and 160 kg N/fed.).
