Abstract This study was conducted on three different farms which classified into mild, moderate and sever form of stress. Two main approaches were used allover the study the first one was the farm level factors studying the effect of stress on some aspects of the bird’s behaviour. Also, it clarifies the gender difference in diurnal behavioural activities during the breeding season. Egg laying and number of fertile eggs increased significantly under pens rather than paddocks and in paddocks with passage in between than paddocks with a common fence. The second part of the study was the egg level factors, hatchability increased significantly during short pre-incubation storage period ≤ 3 day. Candling should be performed only by expert person and during the course of incubation. The best egg to incubate is large size egg between 1350-1600 gm which guarantees best hatchability. |
