Abstract

The aim of this study was to assess family health related tasks and demands in El-Khosous Village. The data were collected from 200 families, which randomly selected in El-khosous village. For data collection, two tools were used the first is family interviewing questionnaire, which consist of four parts: the first part included socio-demographic data of the families. Second part concerned with family assessment according to medical and obstetric aspects. Third part included assessment of family according to health care functions and task provision. Forth part included family health tasks according to negative beliefs and harmful health practices and behavior. The second tool concerned with assessment of families’ home environment. The study reflected that the relation between decision-making methods and educational level of families was statistically not significant. It also found that there was statistically high significant between educational level of family and their nutritional habits. It showed that the relation between income of the family and seeking periodic check-up was statistically high significant. The study proved conclusively that there was statistically significant relation between educational level of family and their health tasks. The study suggested that establishment of health information system in all governorates of Egypt, will assist in orientation of families about health services available in their locality.
