Abstract
Although stroke in general, represent a major public health problem, stroke in young require special attention and opportunities due to its high morbidity and mortality at the most reproductive age in the society. This study was planned to evaluate clinical presentation of ischemic stroke ij young adults, etiology and the most common risk factors.
This study was carried out on 37 patients with ischemic stroke within one week from the onest, of both sex and age ranged from 15-45 years. Patients proved to had TIA or RIND were excluded from this study. All Patients fulfill the previous criteria were hospitalizes and subjected to:
1- Full history and examination.
2- Laboratory investigations, serum urea and creatinine, urine analysis blood picture, blood sugar curve, cholesterol level, triglycerides, LDL, and HDL level.
